NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 1. Bulk reel: 415 [Recordist note at top of data sheet for B. capensis cuts 1 & 2:] Note: cf. also the recordings tentatively filed as B. macrodactylus and B. tamatia. For additional recordings of this species, see: Penelope jacuacu (granti) Cut 12 (Rio Grande), 15 (Rio Grande), 19 (Rio Grande); Micrastur gilvicollis Cut 1a, 1d). Weather: Light cloudy. Vocalizations after playback of field tape. Quality: 2-3. Level: +14. (For natural vocalizations, very likely of same bird, see Cut 19 of Penelope jacuacu.) Quality: 2. Level: +5. (Attila spadiceus is prominent in background.) Quality: 1-2. This bird then collected (= #6557. Then a note added, with poor imitation, referring to an additional vocalization given by another bird ~ 9:30 AM and which resembles somewhat the alternate song of Chameza ruficauda.
