Filtering: 140.) 6 birds right above me, 15 ft. high on telephone wires (total of 15 along the wire, adults and juveniles.) The recordist notes that this species has been split and is now Merops nubicoides. This agrees with Peters (1945) and the geographic location of the recording. Merops nubicoides is the Southern Carmine Bee-eater. 16 Sept. 2002 -SBA ML: Subject changed from Merops nubicus to M. nubicoides to reflect current taxonomy. -Matt Medler, 4 June 2015.
