In Gunn announcement he calls the bird both A. caudacutus as well as LeConte's Sparrow. Upon listening to a recording of a known LeConte's Sparrow it has been determined that this species is in fact A. leconteii. [Indeed, this recording contains 55 songs of Ammodramus leconteii. There are also single "tsip" notes at 0:11, 0:13, 0:28, 0:29, and 3:51 (two), and series of calls given at 0:34, 0:37, and 3:53, the latter representing the BEST we have for this particular call (possibly the "chit-chit-t-t-t-t" of BNA). I am uncertain whether or not the call at 9:36 was given by this species. Quality added (2, 1-2, 1 - a few songs are overloaded (especially those at 7:10-7:45), but most are okay; the first part is not quite as good as the second or third parts - this is probably the BEST cut we have of this species)- CAM - 10 March 2005].
