NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 7. Bulk reel: 255 Weather: Light cloudy. There appeared to be four birds making up the "colony" on this tree: One male typical cruentatus. This male was seen to copulate with one of the females. One male intermediate cruentatus x rubrifrons. Two females typical rubrifrons. These four birds were collected. [Recordist left space for the numbers of the specimens but did not indicate the numbers in those spaces.] a) One call by the male typical cruentatus. Quality: 1-2. Level: +5. Then additional calls, some of which are very likely by the same bird. b) 2/VI/68. 7:40 AM. Next AM, more calls, not identified as to which individiuals. Quality: 1-2. Level: +10, +5. c) 8:00 AM. Vocalizations by the intermediate male. Then some by the "cruentatus"-type male. Quality: 1. Level: +5. Social Context: Colony.
