NOTES: "Ticka-ticka" notes (3.15 kbl-6.3) diagnostis of this species? Brief songs include, "peeto" and "tew-tew" phrases used by N. cardinal. Also "chewy" call note more of a "tick" than "chip". Background noises: creek, identification (1.30, 3.54, 7.03). [The first half of this recording contains calls, alternating between the metallic "Chip" call and the "High Chattering Call" of BNA (0:12-4:29 - BEST "chatter" calls at 3:16-3:31). Following the first announcement, the second set of parts represent song, or at least partial song (4:32-6:56). The remainder of the recording contains mostly "Chip" calls, but also several "High Chatter Calls" (7:12, 7:29), and more partial songs (7:24, 7:32, 8:18, 9:05-9:10). The "Chip" calls at 8:49-9:04 are the BEST we have. Quality changed from 2-3 to 2-3, 2 (maybe 2-1 in places with filtering?) - CAM - 14 January 2005].
