NOTES: Calls from male and female birds, probably near nest. A variety of calls, mostly alarm and sex related. Background noises: mosquito pings on reflector, footsteps, wing sounds, Stellavox recorder. Dubbed from reel1, Babbage River. Credit CAGSL where feasible. [The first half of this recording contains low-intensity "Alarm Calls". At 6:15 there is a "Complex Whistle", apparently only given by males. Between 6:31 and 8:03 are high-intensity "Alarm Calls", said to be given by the female in voice announcement. More low-intensity "Alarm Calls" from 8:13 to 11:05, followed by high-intensity "Alarm Calls" from 11:13 to 12:41 (these being the BEST examples of this particular call in this cut), and finally, more low-intensity "Alarm Calls" from 13:05 to 14:20. Terminology follows Connors et al. (1993. Auk 110:9-20). Quality changed from 1-2 to 2, 1-2 - CAM - 1 December 2004].
