NOTES: (Third Recordist: James L. Gulledge. Breeding Status: Unknown. Gen. Climate: Dry. Cover Density: Medium.) High pass 240. BNA: Repeated Vocalization "whit"; I'm not sure how to categorize the other voc's in this recording. mf Notes on tape: "First few notes were from one bird sitting... perched preening. The bird flew, then its vocalizations were joined by another bird, presumably its mate..." [Two "Repeated Vocalizations" (0:07, 0:11), followed by a series that appears to combine "Locomotory Hesitance Vocalizations" (0:12, 0:14), an "Incipient Locomotory Hesitance Vocalization" (0:15), and "Chatter Vocalizations" (0:12-0:15). Terminology follows BNA and W. J. Smith (1966. Communications and relationships in the genus Tyrannus. Publ. Nuttall Ornithol. Cl. 6). Quality changed from 3 to 2-3 (quite a bit of hiss) - CAM - 7 January 2005]. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Deciduous Forest, Desert, Savannah, Scrub.
