Habitat: Mangrove island. BNA: One relatively good example of what I believe is a "Kek-hurrah" Call of R. l. insularum, based on range (following BNA). If not, this is the "Clapper" Call (in fact, I suspect Figure 3a erroneously labels a "Clapper" Call as the "Kek-hurrah"). It appears that two birds are calling, at least at first. Although this should represent Rallus longirostris based on range and habitat, I cannot unequivocally eliminate R. elegans based on this call. (CAM - 6 April 2005).
