Media notes
An excited response after a tiny amount of playback of its own song. The bird shot in and continued to sing from the subcanopy of a pine and then live oaks, quivering its wings excitedly in a kind of display. Background includes: a distant House Wren, Hairy Woodpecker, White-breasted Nuthatch, Common Raven, Hutton's Vireo, Western Wood-Pewee, Plumbeous Vireo, & Black-headed Grosbeak.
