Media notes
Possibly a female, along the river with male 4 (which can be heard calling in the background). Calls at the end of the recording are given in flight. Approximately 90 seconds of silence removed from the middle of the recording.
Observation details
One singing (M1) along the river closer to the entrance (seen yesterday, heard only today), one on territory at the boat ramp where the river curves east (M2), one on territory just south of the boat ramp in the swamp (M3), and the fourth (M4) farther south along the river (where the side trail south of the boat ramp meets back up with the river; I didn’t check here yesterday). At one point there was a bird calling (chip) where M4 was singing. M4 stopped singing and chipped back-and-forth with this bird. This bird may have been a female (appeared to have less extensive yellow on the underparts) and eventually flew south onto the territory M4 seems to have established.
