NOTES: Recordings made at 24-bit, 48kHz. Recorded in subtropical montane forest. One individual was singing from a roadside perch about 2.5m up and as close as 1m away at times. Towards the end of the second segment (3:32) the bird flew over my head and gave, making a series of interesting wing sounds as it flew away from me. Across the road it joined 2-3 other individuals and gave an excited series of vocalizations along with these other birds. The mechanical sounds produced by the wings in this series are quite interesting, too. At 4:07 there is a prominent song from Dendroica adelaidae. I have extracted this song to be included in LNS 129727. At 4:25 there is another interesting flight call given by the focal individual, which sounds quite different from the nasal peent call-- more like an explosive chatter. Number of individuals=UM3-4;. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Forest, Evergreen Forest.
