NOTES: There were at least three birds present, one singing, another giving seep calls that may represent begging, and a second singing bird that sounded a little different; I suspect it was a family group with the singing bird I recorded having a black face and throat but the calling bird having a paler face and whitish barring that came well up into the throat (but I was not sure if it was a female or a juvenile); the bird I highlighted was initially 6-10 meters away, later 12-15 meters away, and low, typically on but sometimes in low vegetation very near the ground, amid dense undergrowth of good forest in the back part of the reserve; these birds came in with the initial playback but they typically moved farther away after playback; full overcast, calm, 77¡ F. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
