NOTES: Two chips, apparently from a young male that was 1 m up and 8 m away foraging in some small, orange flowers that were growing at edge of base clearing; this bird was typically much higher than this when seen; the bird was seen relatively well at this time, but even better earlier; although in female-plumage, the stripe down the center of the throat was a deep green in color; partly cloudy, calm to trace breeze, 88¡ F. ML: Background subject changed from Pyrrhura picta to P. amazonum to reflect current taxonomy. -Jay McGowan 29Apr2015. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Edge.
