NOTES: Song of one of same four individuals (two adults, two juveniles) in cut #99RDAT02-22 after playback. This bird was an adult, recorded after playback by other members of my group; bird was initially about 10 meters away and perched 1 1/2 meters up, but later 12-15 meters away and 2 meters up, both times in the open; in "campo rupestre" on slope above road just before the summit beyond the park entrance station; really quite rocky, with yucca-like bunchgrasses; elevation ca. 1380 meters; in response to playback, the birds sang more and approached, flying back-and-forth in front of us; the song did not differ much; trace breeze, upper 60s, fog approaching. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Mate, Advertise, Establish Parent Young Contact, Social Context: Family. Habitat: Evergreen Forest, Thicket/Brush, Scrub, Rocky.
