Observation details
1 Richardson's on the ice of cell #2 with 4 Canada Geese. About half the bulk of the Canadas, proportionately short neck, small, short, stubby bill. Upperparts grayer than Canada, lacking warm tones, with more obvious pale feather fringes, giving a more patterned (stripy) overall appearance. Breast pale, frosty colored, no obvious pale ring at base of black neck sock like some Western forms. Chin strap no bisected by black line, as far as I could tell through bins. Photos coming. Sitting on the embankment along Dennis Ave with Canadas when I left at 0837.
