Difficult to mentally block out the peepers - the ticking is most easily heard the last 8 seconds.
Observation details
Bird on the edge of wire sedge (Carex lasiocarpa/oligosperma) mat. Clearly audible Tic-tic-tic....tic-tic-tic with the last tic slightly descending (not ascending with many more clicks like a western chorus frog). Initially heard by first student out of the van who immediately asked "what frog sounds like someone clicking two pebbles together?"
