NOTES: 'OH' AND 'AH' SOUNDS. BIRDS WERE NOT SEEN. AT 3:30 AM THESE BIRDS STARTED CALLING FIRST FROM THE SEA OR A ROCK NEAR THE SEA; AND WERE ANSWERED BY BIRDS IN BURROWS UNDER ROCKS OR BY THEM ADJACENT TO MY CAMP ON THE MAIN BEACH. IT WAS A SURPRISE TO FIND THE SHEARWATERS WHO ARE NOT LISTED AS BREEDERS IN THE TASMAN NATIONAL PARK HANDBOOK. Other Behaviors: Arrive, Mate.
