Habitat exactly where Yellow Rail was calling.
Observation details
Continuing here and heard from boardwalk near lone, large white oak (41.6538148,-83.7767269). Calling at 6:46am, 6:49am, 6:52am, 6:55am. Surprisingly robust tic tic tic-tic-tic with the 3rd to 5th tics in quicker succession. Would repeat 3-6 times each round. Recordings made by other birders present. Habitat shot below...dense switchgrass(?) in very wet meadow.
