Observation details
I heard Yellow-rumped Warbler calls in the maples at the edge of the yard and went to investigate. As I was following the warblers I heard a clear "whit" call repeated several times and was able to find this flycatcher and watch and then photograph it over the course of an hour. The bird was actively foraging and left my view but then returned three times. Each time it gave the "whit" call multiple times. The bird had a round head; its primary projection was short making the tail look long; it had a gray-green back; its breast was grayish white and its belly was light yellow; its eye ring was well defined but not bold; it did not droop its tail like a Gray Flycatcher would.
