Observation details
Flycatcher foraging at mid and upper levels of oaks on a steep slope, near stream. Moved from perch to perch in a small area, not generally returning to the same perch. I would call this Hammond's Flycatcher. Fremont Birding says: I think the long primary projection, peaked head, and small dark bill all point to Hammond's. Dusky would have a shorter primary projection, rounder head, and larger bill. Also the Dusky should have larger bill with more orange on the lower mandible.
