Observation details
First seen at 1230, N of the stream in the area between the diversion and rocky draw, flying (gliding, I think) W at moderate height. Soon after, they began circling and drifting back E, passing over me, on the light to gentle W breeze. They continued circling and were evidently on a thermal as they gained altitude quickly. At 1233 they had drifted farther E and were quite high, easy to lose without binoculars except when they caught they sunlight upon turning. At 1236 I lost sight of them, still circling on a thermal, E of me and even higher. Conditions during this sighting were sunny and relatively warm with ca 30% cirrus clouds and light to gentle W breeze at ground level.
