Black-eared Kite: Probably the southern most sight record in this region. A single individual was spotted resting on the ground. The overall size was bigger than Black Kite. Head and neck were streaked heavily. The cropped and slightly brightened image attached below shows more evident whitish patch at base of outer primaries and more well defined barring on the inner 6 to 7 primaries and pale lower body and vent. From the photos and video attached below it is highly conspicuous that it is a Black-eared Kite. (Reference: Birds of Prey of the Indian Subcontinent & Birds of the Indian Subcontinent)
