Observation details

Continuing bird. Last Sunday I went down to look for the godwit and was disappointed that the bird was not there and that there were a lot of people on the soccer field and the tide was very high. Birders there told me that the bird was "last seen an hour ago flying south". After poking around the immediate area for a while, I decided to see if I could find the bird elsewhere. I eventually found the bird about a mile south along the coast at a place known as "Stephen's Field" roosting with R-Bills in the middle of a baseball field. This may be a good alternate spot to look for the bird when it is not roosting on the soccer field. When I inadvertently flushed the birds, they landed in the Tennis courts. Clearly this bird is athletically inclined.
