Observation details
Seen on and off over the time span of 4 1/2 hours. Could easily see the white wing patch that ran all the down along the edge of the folded wings. It also had blueish area in front of the eye and behind the eye. The eyes themselves were red. The tail was not pointed like a Mourning Dove, but shorted and squared off. The underside of the tail showed a two colored pattern, with the outer part being white and the inner part being black. Overall the bird had the same brownish-gray colored body as a Mourning Dove, but I did notice the chest area was darker than the belly.
