Observation details
Watched for extended period feeding with Bonaparte's Gulls and Forster's Terns near channel north of Yankee Fisherman's Coop south of the bridge (but actually in the town of Hampton). Walked out to point to photograph the bird and actually got some identifiable photos by digi-scoping (Not easy!). The bird never landed with the Forster's, but fed the entire time. Small head and bill, very pale below and above. Narrow dark ends to primaries below, pale secondaries, lack of significant carpal bar....all seen and illustrated in photos. Not certain of age. Possibly a juvenile because of palish secondaries?
