NOTES: Continuation of cut #97RDAT21-23 after a break of nearly ten minutes; songs of bird #4 recorded across road (Avenida Perimetral de Oeste) from hotel. Bird began singing again at 6:32, but it took me several minutes to get back onto it, with tape beginning again at 6:34. Bird was now singing intermittently near where it began for the morning about 75 m in from road in narrow strip of forest that ran perpendicular to road. Bird was seen moving about in canopy of slightly taller trees about 35 m away. The single long call was overloaded. ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus eytoni to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [eytoni Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
