NOTES: ID suggested from tape by Kevin J. Zimmer, who noted that these birds rarely give this call (apparently a distress call) in series; that is if it is not a frog. Recorded on back part of Taboca Trail near marker #34. Call was given from a distance of 12-15 m and on or very near ground amid dense growth in site where canopy was quite broken. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
