NOTES: Song of two birds, male seen identifiably as either T. caerulescens or T. pelzelni. No time announcement, but probably recorded about 8:15. When recorded, bird was seen moving 5-6 m up and 18 m away in lower part of taller trees, but following playback it approached and moved down into upper part of canopy of smaller trees and was seen relatively well in vegetation of medium density. Warmer, but conditions otherwise same [clear, calm]. Compared with cut on "Songs of the Antbirds", these songs were similar, but not quite identical. Mike attenuators on and using Benchmark MicMan Jr. preamp with Sennheiser ME-64 microphone in 24" Roche parabola. Copied with HPF@180 Hz. Response to playback: Approach. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Forest, Evergreen Forest.
