NOTES: Travelling up foothill forest, but with many cliffy edges, exposed rocks, and scrub at the peaks, creating a variation of habitats. This is the song heard when they are travelling, typical behaviour being that they land in the canopy of a tree, often near edge, sing a few repetitions and then fly to another tree. This is most likely I.c.cayanensis, though the rust epualet oriole has been seen within foraging flocks in the forest. Habitat: Rainforest, Cloudforest, Evergreen Forest, Deciduous Forest, Cliff.
