Observation details
Found by Charlotte Friend. Initially seen near the boat ramp. From there, it swam slowly toward the mile 113 marker on the C&O towpath. Head usually tilted upward. Long, thin, gray bill. Gray on top of head, back of neck. White on lower head, front of neck. Speckled gray plumage on body. Eye red.
