NOTES: L.F. MAJOR. THIS IS A MOST UNUSUAL COMBINATION REMARKED UPON BY MYLESIN HIS RECORDING NOTEBOOK. J.F.M. HORNE HAD NOT PERSONALLY HEARD THISCOMBINATION BEFORE. FIRST, THERE IS THE ODD FLUTE COMBINATION WITH SUDDENLY THE FAMILIAR SNARLFLUTE (BOU). THERE IS ALSO A SEQUENCE WHERE THE ODD FLUTE DUET HAS ONE BIRD DOING THE TYPICAL 'BOU', A SINGE NOTE. THEN, TOWARD THE END, THERE IS A FAMILIAR FLUTE DUET - A MOST UNUSUAL CUT ALTOGETHER. THERE WERE 3 BIRDS VOCALIZING IN THIS SEQUENCE. TWO OFTHE BIRDS WERE RINGED (BANDED) DOUBLE GREEN (GG) AND DOUBLE RED (RR) OF THE HIPPO POOL POPULATION MYLES KNEW SO WELL. THE ODD BIRD WAS UNRINGED. RR WAS SEEN DOING THE LOWER G. WEATHER CLEAR, BUT SOME RAIN HAD FALLEN. 3 ADULT(S). Habitat: Lake.
