NOTES: A park guard training trip travelling down from 2800 to 1800. The area was very dry, without rain for about three weeks. These recordings, and many following are of the song variation of one Ind. P.atrovirens. I found the behaviour to be, that the bird will call a type of call, and then change the call often while changing position. This seemed to be above the foraging females. The numbers refer to the number of repetitions of a song type. By using the numbers and the type of recording one can figure out timing of the song. These recordings should capture the variation of song of just one Ind. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Habitat: Rainforest, Cloudforest, Evergreen Forest, Deciduous Forest, Montane Grassland, Edge.
