Observation details
Photos. The sparrow was seen within the confines of a relatively new earthen tank on the right side of the road (eastern side) coming from the southern entrance. We drove into the tank area, which is surrounded by a barbed-wire fence and a barbed-wire gate. The area was filled with sparrows and other grassland birds because the tank is filled with water. The Sagebrush Sparrow was seen feeding on the ground in the enclosure with lots of Vesper Sparrows.
