Observation details
Interacting - saw them in two different locations; over lake near parking lot and east of lake north of the trail, by the 5 mile marker (east of the bench in that corner of the woods). Unknown if there's a nest out there, but every year I've seen RT Hawks in that latter area, and there is a tall pine in which I frequently see one sitting. Frequently meaning many times when I go there, not that the hawks frequently sit there. I haven't been there since last year. At one point I saw an RT Hawk streaking across the sky at hight altitude with its wings bent like a falcon in a dive. I watched it until it stretched out its wings and slowed, at which point I could identify it. Not sure if it was one of this pair or a third hawk, but man was it fast. Slowed down and joined some vultures also flying high, but then I lost sight of it behind the trees.
