Observation details
Larger size than nearby Least Sandpipers, medium length thick black bill, black legs, whitish face and chest, pale grayish dorsal parts, black leading edge of wing (dark shoulder edge when wings folded) and white wing stripe. Bill not proportionally as long and curved as Western Sandpiper, larger and chunkier build than Western or Semipalmated. Got bad photos. On far side of first pond. Both spent a lot of time bullying and chasing away the smaller Least and Spotted Sandpipers. Seen well through scope view over duration of visit.
