NOTES: Background: MOHOUA OCROCEPHALA (CALLS AND SONG); Weather: WIND; SITTING IN TREES AND FLYING (LOUDEST PART OF RECORDING WAS OF A FLYING FLOCK, QUITE CLOSE OVERHEAD). CALLS APPARENTLY TO KEEP FLOCK TOGETHER. MATURE FOREST OF SOUTHERN BEECH (NOTHOFAGUS) WITH PLENTIFUL UNDERGROWTH. AT LEAST FIVE BIRDS. Sex: 5 UNKNOWN ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Petroica australis australis to Petroica australis australis/rakiura to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
