Observation details
Seen well; photographed on ground and in flight by all. White-crown stripe noted and very white wings in flight. Very familiar with Wattled Lapwing. This bird had us very excited as it is exceedingly rare in Uganda. I do not have a Flicker account to post the photos but will gladly provide photos and more written details. Observed for several minutes from the boat. At first we viewed it as simply an African Wattled Lapwing. Seen in flight, our minds changed and we examined all of our photos more carefully. A wow bird!!!
