Observation details
The best bird of the trip! In a marshy bay of the estuary close to shore, along the main drag, across from Fillatre's Funeral Home. Initially seen very close, it then flew off about 20m further out, black legs with yellow feet clearly visible in flight. At first I had my fingers crossed for Little Egret, but the yellow lores and spray of head plumes were clearly visible in the scope. The guy in the adjacent house came out and told me the bird had been there for a couple of weeks. Year bird and my first record for NL.
