NOTES: PREVIOUSLY I HAVE HEARD THESE VOCALIZATIONS AND ASSUMED THEY WERE PRODUCED BY SOME TYPE OF WOODPECKER. AFTER GIVING A NUMBER OF THESE CALLS THE NEARBY ANI FLEW TO A TREE UTTERING THE TYPICAL FLIGHT CALL. I FOLLOWED AND OBTAINED SOME ADDITIONAL RECORDING. THE BIRD THEN FLEW TO A DISTANT HEDGEROW AND CONTINUED TO CALL BUT WAS TOO FAR AWAY TO RECORD. AREA HAS PASTURES WITH OPEN HEDGEROWS. Call type: joining calls (per S. Vehrencamp).
