Observation details

Continuing. Saw both horned and eared grebes relatively close to one another and instantly knew one was the previously reported eared grebe due to darker coloring. Peaked head; red eyes lacking red loral line as seen on horned grebe; dark feathered "ears" easily seen; cheeks not as clean white as seen on horned grebe, due to "ear" area feather coloring.
