Observation details
Brood parasitism was observed today. I heard peculiar call from a dry bush and was checking for the owner of the call. I saw a bird in the middle and thought to be a Thrush(Nilagiri). but to my surprise in few minutes birds came out and sat over a open branch but did not stop calling. I could identify the bird as banded bay cuckoo now. In no time one male common iora came near to it with a grasshopper( I am not sure) in its beak and fed the juvenile cukoo. The moment was so thrilling to me, such a tiny iora feeding double sized cuckoo. after eating the prey from ioras mouth cuckoo did bite the tail of iora and continued to call. Iora flew away and started again for searching food for its young one(!!!).
