Observation details
Parking on the east side of the riverbed we walked west along the road not quite sure where we were going. After traversing the riverbed we soon came across an area of planted trees which looked promising and sure enough there was a Black Honeyeater singing! Wandering around we managed to find two pairs including the males chasing each other around and a female carrying food to feed two adorable little floofs in her nest which was 0.4 m off the ground in a thistle. Interesting to note that the chicks had black skin with white feathering along various tracts.
