Media notes
When the White Pelicans arrived over head, they broke out of their V-formation and started circling in mass. Our USFW guide Joel Voss indicated they may be looking for a thermal to boost them on their way South.
Observation details
Saw them in a V-formation coming down from the North. When overhead they broke into a circling swarm, but never tried to land. Fish & Wildlife Officer leading the trip suggested they were looking for thermals to take them higher and give them a boost to continue their journey Southward. Pictures to follow.
