Observation details
Foraging in the marsh at some distance from the causeway, studied via scope, also took photos comparing to the single Greater Yellowlegs present. Clearly smaller than the Greater in direct comparison. Typical Tringa shape with slim body and neck, small head, thin straight bill about the same length as head. Fairly long, yellow legs (mostly not visible as the bird foraged belly-deep in water). Whitish lower breast and belly, gray-brown back, paler gray-brown on head and neck with well-defined white supraloral stripe and white around eye.
