An American Tree Sparrow that was distressed by a Gray Jay that was at the top of the same spruce tree within a meter of the sparrow. The Gray Jay was virtually silent. HPF @ 250 Hz. BNA: Alarm note ("tseet") is heard. CZ 17/06/2004. [Agreed, these are alarm calls. Quality changed from 3-1 to 2-3, 2-1 (wind noise) - CAM - 27 January 2005]. Other Behaviors: Emit Alarm. Habitat: Forest, Coniferous Forest, Boreal/Taiga.
