NOTES: (Parts A and B. Time: 1650-1815. Date: 4 (5) Nov. 1974. Bkground Sounds: Domestic fowls, village Homo sapiens, etc. Breeding Status: Territorial paired, breeding. Stimulus for Sound: Natural (no playback), then playback own song.) Field annotation included (male calls--"plick-call"). Female plicks are heard--less "harsh", sharp than male, and annotated. She also utters a short song phrase. Part B: Playback of the female voice has a marked effect on her. Female displays with wings! Playback reactions are annotated on the cut. "Unison plicking" was response to playback. Included is a photocopy of my field notes from y notebook! Note: Some of these cuts a few were transcribed to cassette for ICBB now lodged with Dr. C.
