NOTES: (Background Sounds: hoverflies; Stimulus for Sound: natural, then playback own song) HPF 220. Whistle calls from male and the aggressing squeak-whistle in response to playback!! Then the female calls a "buzz-tek" in response followed by a series of calls given by the male and female when hey are together. These quiet calls are always given when the pair are close together - "mate contact" they have a strong pair-bond. They move quickly through the vegetation as they forage - always "restless" never long in the same place - [very like C. newtoni of Reunion] taking insects and moving on at once to another. Other Behaviors: Advertise, Mate.
