Media notes
NOTES: Very low in small bushes foraging. In area of desert with thick bushes and pencil like cactus, desert in bloom due to heavy rains from El Nino storms. [Although the tapping was presumably done by this species, there are only four soft "peek" Call Notes (0:06, 0:11, 0:15, 0:20), apparently given by a bird in the background. I believe the series at 0:32-0:38 was given by Melanerpes uropygialis. Of note is that the three loud, "chack" calls sound much like those of Oporornis philadelphia, which would be a vagrant at this spot (though the date is perfect for such a vagrant). Quality added (3 - the best signal is for species other than the one highlighted) - CAM - 19 April 2005]. Habitat: Desert, Subtropical Desert.
