Observation details
Continuing at this location. Smaller than Ring-billed Gulls, with which it was associating. Small, very faintly marked yellow bill. Dark iris. A generally daintier appearance than other gulls species. Photos taken. The bird exhibited an interesting behaviour while foraging. It shuffled its feet on the spot, presumably attempting to disturb the water and bring food to the surface. It repeated this multiple times before it was scared by a nearby dog and left the area, heading in the direction of the Bow River.
