NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut #27. Bulk reel #506 a) 6:10 AM. This is almost surely same bird as Cut 25 = Bird #1. Natural song. Quality: 1. Level: 0. Then bird changes perch and song. At end the female arrived and birds flew out of focus but can hear the typical whinnies faintly. At end some call notes. b) 6:20 AM. After a "session" with the female. This male again resumes singing; still natural song and different song. Only a part recorded. Brief, then changed perch and song; then again slight change in song. Quality: 1. Level: 0. c) Now after some playback and ~ 20' later. Quality: 1. Level: 0. Then (alarm) call notes as bother notes due to more playback. [sic] Quality: 1-2. Level: +5. Then "squeaky" notes, same motivation: then female arrives and can hear typical "whinnies." Quality: 2. Level: +5. In background is Icterus chrysater and at end Veniliornis kirkii. Finally one song and more "whinnies" of the pair as female arrives again. Quality: 1-2. Level: +5.
